They are not automatically the same contractual or legal role. A Medical Director engagement may govern a clinic or a service line, while a separate physician–APP supervision relationship can carry additional professional responsibilities depending on the practitioner and the practice model. One does not automatically include the other.

Directing a clinic’s governance and supervising a specific nurse practitioner or physician assistant are distinct responsibilities with distinct requirements.
How MFMD handles it
Any separate APP supervision is explicitly accepted, scoped, and priced — never assumed simply because MFMD serves as Medical Director. That keeps each responsibility clear and properly covered.
