Rapid Medical Director Replacement for AHCA Clinics

Medical Director Gone?
AHCA Can Suspend Your Clinic’s License.

Your medical director left. MFMD steps in. Don’t wait for AHCA to act.

Get a replacement medical director and the signed director-change documents your clinic needs. Serving active AHCA-licensed Health Care Clinics in Central and South Florida, subject to service availability, coverage in your area, and facility acceptance.

Requests accepted 24/7. Response within 24 hours, every day.

Your director’s departure creates an immediate need for action. AHCA requires the change to be reported within 21 calendar days of its effective date.

AHCA director-change requirements

Every day without a medical director puts your clinic at risk.

Operating without the required medical or clinic director can lead to emergency license suspension, fines, and license revocation. A suspension can interrupt patient services, staff schedules, and revenue.

The rule provides for fines of up to $5,000, with each day of operation after receipt of AHCA notice counted as a separate offense. The 21-day reporting deadline does not authorize your clinic to operate without the required director.

Common questions

Does the 21-day deadline give my clinic time to operate without a director?

No. It is the deadline to report the change. AHCA requires the day-to-day supervision of a medical or clinic director.

When does medical director coverage begin?

On the actual appointment commencement date confirmed in the signed documents, when the physician begins the agreed oversight responsibilities. MFMD does not provide retroactive coverage.

Can you help if my license is suspended or revoked?

This service is available to clinics with an active AHCA Health Care Clinic license. Suspended or revoked licenses are outside this service.

Does appointing a replacement erase a previous gap or stop an AHCA action?

No. A new appointment establishes oversight from its actual start date. Any earlier gap or other compliance issue remains subject to AHCA review.

Service is subject to availability, geographic coverage, and facility acceptance. The appointment commencement date, payment schedule, and agreed scope are documented separately. MFMD does not guarantee an AHCA decision. The clinic remains responsible for its timely, complete filing.
