A prescription medication should be prescribed by a practitioner with the appropriate Florida prescribing authority who is acting within the applicable professional practice framework. Depending on the clinic, that may be a physician, an appropriately authorized APRN, or an appropriately delegated/supervised PA. An RN license alone does not create prescribing authority.

Which prescriber models apply to peptides in Florida?

Physicians prescribe within their license. APRNs prescribe within §464.012 (protocol) or §464.0123 (autonomous) frameworks. Fully licensed PAs may have delegated prescriptive authority under §458.347. RNs administer under an order — they do not prescribe.
